The RSAS is a Robotic Sorting and Assembly System, which uses two integrated vision cameras to identify and track feed parts passing on a conveyor for robotic pick-up, while a second camera identifies and tracks product for the feed parts to be placed. The standard machines comes with the robot, custom built end effector, vision lighting, conveyor tracking encoders, feed parts recirculation system, product conveyor, and all robot and vision software. The system has a repeatability of 0.004 inches, and is capable of up to 150 pick-and-place motions per minute, a 44-inch diameter x 10 vertical travel. It can hold a 4.4-pound payload and can be paired with multiple robots in a work cell.
