The MCAM-U is a Manual Cartridge Assembly Machine used for adhering the end pleats of media with a sonic weld seam (60% media plastic content needed to enable a sonic weld seam). The machine operation requires the operator to push the pleated media into the infeed rails and actuate the paddle mechanism to advance the media through the system as it is formed into a cylindrical shape. Final seam alignment is made automatically prior to the sonic weld head. The standard machines comes sized for pleat heights from 0.38” to 1.50” (10 mm to 38 mm) and can be purchased with change-out tooling for slit width sizes from 1.25” to 50.00” (30 mm to 1270 mm). Production speeds are operator paced; the machine actuations are sized to operate in excess of 30 per minute. Custom requirements are available upon request. Center tube assembly and increased infeed width options are available.
